Latest Hip Hop News: Meek Mill Responds To Critics Of His Actions To Fight Injustice In America
Robert Rihmeek Williams popularly known as Meek Mill, is not one to sit back and fold his hands when he perceives injustice in America. The Philadelphia rapper will fight against it to the very end but despite this, Meek has his critics. He tweeted:
“I really lived police brutality and injustices …. so a critic could never judge the way I operate and make moves to contribute to help fix the problem …. especially if you never experienced it first hand! 👌🏾.”

Meek Mill teamed up with Jay-Z, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin, CNN political contributor Van Jones, and others to create the REFORM Alliance. The organisation which is of course, well funded, is working to change the laws and policies in the United States that perpetuate injustice.
A number of public figures have slammed Jay-Z including Kaepernick’s girlfriend Nessa Diab of Hot 97, for signing a deal with the NFL while the league is still supposedly holding a grudge against the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback.

According to Kaepernick, he is currently being prevented from joining a team as punishment for igniting the peaceful “Take A Knee” protests during the national anthem.
However, those who support Jay-Z’s decision to partner with the league point out that Kaepernick and Carolina Panthers safety Eric Reid agreed to a settlement, reportedly worth less than $10 million, in order to end a collusion case against the NFL. All parties were also required to sign a confidentiality agreement. The same “sell-out” label that is being placed on Jay-Z now was also used against Kaepernick following the revelation of the football league’s payout.
While responding to the Kaepernick issue during a news conference this week, Jay-Z stated, “Everyone heard, we hear what you’re saying, and everybody knows I agree with what you’re saying [in Kaepernick’s underlying message]. So what are we gonna do? You know what I’m saying? [Help] millions and millions of people, or we get stuck on Colin not having a job.”
