A lot of people have accused Sarkodie of being conceited and as such, not particularly bothered about helping others grow in the industry. The irony is Nigerian superstar singer, Peter Okoye thinks the Ghanaian rapper’s humility is what makes them bond.

During a recent interview with Joy News’ Doreen Avio, Mr P defended Sarkodie’s decision to promote his album. There was serious public backlash as a result with many calling out the fastest rapper in Ghana across his social media pages. He was then accused of helping Nigerians and neglecting those from his own country. Peter Okoye pointed out during the interview:

“We still have people who don’t like you no matter what, even Almighty Jesus Christ was crucified.

This is Africa and you can’t just say because he put up my music, people are sad that he is not doing that for his fellow people, Sarkodie is one of the most humble musicians I have met in Ghana”.
